A Little About Me

OK, let’s start by saying that nobody EVER reads the ABOUT ME page. People are far too busy. They want to know ‘what’s in it for them’, not read some inane self-serving ramblings of a web author.

That being said, for anyone curious enough to have clicked on this link by accident, I may as well tell you a little about myself. Here goes…

In The Beginning

I started online in the mid nineties, churning out horrendous looking web pages using Frontpage Express.

It was during this time that I signed up to the Amazon affiliate program and was stunned when I started to receive $5,000 cheques for little more than placing a link into the text on my pages. I was hooked!

New Millennium, New Start

As 2000 began I was presented with a number of choices that turned out to be life changing opportunities.

My career with the local Electricity company had driven up a one way street, with no prospects. They were cutting back on staff, wages and future growth. My online income had soared, so I quit my ‘job for life’ that I had enjoyed for the previous 20 years.

I wanted a new career that was not dependent on time or location. In other words, I didn’t want to chain myself to one place or an hourly rate…and definitely no suit! My online sales skills gave me the lifestyle I had only dreamed about in the past. It let me travel the World, knowing that I was earning money whether I slept, traveled or occasionally sat in front of my PC.

It was as I traveled around Asia that I met the most amazing woman. Even more amazing, she married me!

Present Day

I am still passionate about traveling and thanks to the Internet I can ‘work’ when it suits me, wherever in the World we happen to be.

I have written a number of manuals, created CDrom tutorials and taught a number of small businesses how to use the tools that the Internet provides to grow their own business to new heights.

I get particularly angry at ‘Web Designers’ who focus solely on presentation, knowing little about how to sell or the amazing tools at their disposal. They create worthless flat and lifeless ‘Brochure’ sites that do nothing for the business they are trying to promote. And they charge a fortune for the privilege!

So I have taken a different approach.

First, I create a living breathing ‘Business Communication Hub’ using all the latest marketing tools. I make it so simple to use that anyone could do it. Then, and only then, I make it look great.

That’s pretty much where I am today. I make my money online, just as before.

But I now also work with select number of small businesses to create their own communication hubs. I walk the walk. I know what works online and the easiest, most cost effective way to do it. So I get great pleasure in passing on the ’secrets’ to the few who want to listen.
